Dumfries and Galloway Disability Sport are a charitable organisation who are the regional branch of Scottish Disability Sport work in partnership with Dumfries and Galloway Council.   The organisation aims to increase opportunities for anyone with a physical disability, learning disability or sensory impairment to take part in regular sport and achieve and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.

There is currently a successful disability sport session for adults being run in partnership with Newton Stewart ARC but we are always on the lookout for clubs and community groups to offer new activities to the group.   Work is also being done with Machars schools to increase opportunities for pupils with disabilities to get their targeted PE provision of 2 periods per week in an appropriate session for their ability.

Dumfries and Galloway Disability Sport are always on the lookout for volunteers in a number of capacities e.g. coaches, fund raisers, organisational, administrative, committee members.   We welcome people from any background and previous experience of disability sport isn’t necessary only an interest in raising the profile of disability sport in the region.   If you would like more information or would like to be involved in the development of Dumfries and Galloway Disability Sport please contact Robbie Totten:
